Ellen Yu

Ellen Yu is a London-based colourist originally from Taiwan, with a strong foundation in fine art and a deep passion for visual storytelling. She began her career in high-end commercial post-production, assisting on campaigns for brands like Porsche and Sony, where she developed a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of the interplay between tone, texture, and mood. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, Ellen uses colour to elevate emotion, and refine the narrative of each project. Her portfolio spans features, shorts, animation, and documentaries, including films broadcast on Sky and Together TV, as well as projects recognised by RTS, Grierson, and the BAFTA Film Awards.Recently her feature film The Devil Whisper My Name had its North American premiere at the acclaimed Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles.
